Female hormones are important for fertility!
The relationship between pregnancy and female hormones is an inseparable relationship. Female hormones play a role in preparing the body for pregnancy and childbirth.
Female hormones include estrogen (follicular hormone) and progesterone (luteinizing hormone), and these two hormones change their balance at regular intervals in conjunction with the menstrual cycle. After menstruation, estrogen levels increase and the follicles mature. An egg is released from a mature follicle and ovulated.
After ovulation, the follicle transforms into the corpus luteum and secretes progesterone. Progesterone acts on the lining of the uterus to thicken it and prepare it for the implantation of a fertilized egg. It also helps maintain pregnancy by raising the basal body temperature. Female hormones play a major role in fertility.
How to increase female hormones
It is said that the amount of female hormones that a woman secretes in her lifetime is about one teaspoonful. Unfortunately, female hormones themselves cannot be artificially increased. It peaks in the late 20s and early 30s and gradually decreases in the late 30s. After that, it continues to decline. It is not true that the more female hormones the better. On the other hand, an excessive increase in female hormones can lead to health problems.
What is important is care to control and compensate for female hormones. First, let's review our daily lives. By doing so, the secretion of female hormones will be activated and hormone balance will be easier to arrange.
Self-care methods to balance female hormones
In order to adjust female hormones, let's review diet, exercise, sleep, and stress.
Well-balanced diet
It is important to eat a well-balanced diet that includes high-quality proteins such as meat, fish, and soybeans, carbohydrates, vegetables, and high-quality oils.
Three meals a day is basic. Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner as regularly as possible. Snacking between meals and excessive alcohol consumption are also not good.
Moderate exercise
In order to activate female hormones, promote the blood flow of the internal organs and the whole body. Poor blood flow can also cause hormonal imbalance. I recommend yoga and stretching to move your body slowly. Breathe deeply and have the effect of relieving tension in the body. In particular, loosen the muscles around the pelvis. When the muscles around the pelvis are loosened, the muscles around the ovaries are also loosened, making it easier to secrete female hormones.
Good sleep
Sleep is important to rest your brain and body. Go to bed at 11:00 at the latest and get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. It is known that when sleep time is 6 hours or less, the amount of follicle-stimulating hormone, which is essential for ovulation, decreases.
Lack of sleep can also cause an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system, which can have a negative impact on female hormones. Melatonin, a hormone that promotes sleep, is said to affect the quality of eggs. Melatonin has the effect of suppressing oxidative stress, which leads to the prevention of oocyte aging.
Stress relief
Stress is the natural enemy of female hormones. Because female hormones are delicate, even if the ovarian function is normal, hormone secretion may be disturbed because the instructions from the brain are not transmitted well if the living environment or mental stress is felt.
During pregnancy, you will feel stressed easily from the feeling of haste. Also, some people feel stressed because their lifestyle for trying to conceive is too stoic. Once in a while, make a day to reward yourself, and it's important to take a break.
Let's adjust the hormone balance during the follicular period when the condition is good!
During the follicular phase, the autonomic nervous system becomes active due to the effects of follicular hormones, and it is a time when the body is in good shape and the mood is easy to stabilize. Prepare for pregnancy by balancing your hormones during the healthy follicular phase.
